Binary scoring
Each health-related item is scored as 0 for normal expectation in a healthy person, or 1 for deviation from normality and requiring consultations with healthcare providers. Ideally, after working through all 12 components one would hope for a zero sum. A positive sum reflects the number of issues to be addressed to mitigate future health liabilities. Two ways are available for scoring. First, after inspecting each component of the health checklist, the user can access the corresponding live Excel spreadsheet to work through the scoring instructions, save and/or print the results, then reset the form. Alternatively, users who are not comfortable with the Excel format could use the “Comprehensive Scoring” page and follow the instructions to score. Options for saving, printing and resetting each separate scored sections or all 12 scored sections are also available in the “Comprehensive Scoring” page.

Preventive medicine plays a crucial role in enhancing public health by focusing on proactive measures to avoid illness. By promoting healthy lifestyles, vaccinations, and early screenings, it significantly reduces the burden on healthcare systems and improves overall quality of life. It empowers individuals to take charge of their well-being and fosters a healthier, more sustainable society.
